No "hello"

When messaging me, please don't just say "hello".

You can say hello, but please also be straight to the point, as it helps with my anxiety. In general, you also make yourself look like a bot. You may find yourself getting ignored if you only send "hello" without any other context.

This means you're not supposed to send messages like:

• "hi!"
• "hello!"
• "hey"

then leave me hanging.

Instead of just saying hello, you can add additional context or be direct:

• "Hello! I'm from ACME and I have a question about Foobar."
• "Hi! I saw your post about spherical cows and I have a suggestion."
• "yo wassup, can you carry me in strinova"

If you do happen to send just a "hello", just send a follow up message! It's never too late to provide more context, and I'll be more likely to respond this way.
